Research Interest:

Molecular parasitology, Autophagy and Cell death in Apicomplexa Parasite Host-Pathogen Interaction, Host-Pathogen Interactions.

Current Research Focus:

The overarching aim of my research at AIIMS is to understand the molecular and cellular events in life cycle of parasite causing malaria, i.e. Plasmodium. We are trying to understand the mechanisms parasite employs in attaching and invading the host cell (i.e. host-pathogen interaction) and pathways it follows for its development and survival in the host (i.e. Autophagy and cell death).
